Dragonfly
A dragonfly, so elegantly born. It’s shiny emerald body and golden delicate wings fly through the warm summers sky, glistening under the bright sunlight. Endless opportunities await this fine creature, in such endless blue sky, time seemingly infinite.
Looking around it should see a female, ocean blue, so beautiful. They join together in an intricate dance, testing each other playfully. Slowly, their souls glide closer.
The sky’s shade of blue turns indigo and deep red, red, a passionate color, as their love reaches such heights, the red sky darkens.
Time slips so fast, never returning, the dance slows, the lovers still so close, as is the threatening sunset. Surely not tired? An end? Never! They would defy such a notion!
Yet now the sun drowns in the night, and their love falls into the abyss, so warm. Their body’s, however, now so cold.
From everything of hope, to an abyss of nothing.
Such a pity.
